CONNECTION

We are wired to be in relationship, so feeling heard, seen and felt are vital components of relationship. Unfortunately, poor lifestyle, health and a lack of feeling safe often drive people into states of anxiety, fear and isolation. As a result, one should expect the therapeutic relationship to be authentically embodied, sensitive to nonverbal cues, free from judgment and stigma, as well as client-centered.

  • Learning to witness self in relationship

  • Understanding the concept of the “shared mind”

  • Recognizing the importance of belonging, acceptance and compassion in healing

  • Safely processing the past as a means to live more fully in the present

  • Trauma-informed approach utilizing skills of mindfulness, EMDR, parts work, expressive movement and other body-based/bottom-up methods of therapeutic exploration
